Matt Adams madams@michigantempo.com
Matt is one of our vice presidents and is our resident VLA correspondent and tournament director. Since 2023, Matt has been on the support staff for the University of Michigan Volleyball team as a performance analyst and brings an analytical presence to both our VLA team and our boys camps.
In his playing days, he was a president, setter, and ECVA all-league selection for Syracuse’s Men’s Volleyball Club and led them to two ECVA - North championships while also serving as a practice player for the Syracuse women’s volleyball team.
In the classroom at Syracuse University, Matt earned two degrees in Sports Analytics and Economics while minoring in Information Management & Technology and Sports Management.

Clark is one of our vice presidents and is our director of operations and camps. In addition to working with the Tempo team, Clark has been the assistant women’s volleyball coach at Central Michigan University since 2023. He brings collegiate volleyball coaching experience to our team.
Before Central Michigan, Clark volunteered with Michigan State Men’s VBC as President in 2021-22 and as Creative Director in 2022-23 while volunteering with the Michigan State women’s volleyball team as a practice player from Fall 2021- Spring 2023. During Clark’s tenure as Creative Director, the club social footprint grew twofold, with huge spikes in engagement on Instagram and Facebook.
Clark is working towards his MBA in Data Analytics and Statistics from Central Michigan and holds a BA in Film Studies with a minor in Spanish from Michigan State.

Urvil is one of our Vice Presidents and is a founding member of Michigan Tempo. Urvil brings experience working volleyball camps through Michigan State Men’s Club Volleyball and Michigan State Volleyball to Tempo VBC.
President of the MSU Men’s VBC in 2022-23, Urvil and co. saw their most successful season in program history, finishing tied-5th at Nationals and receiving unprecedented fundraising support from alumni and donors, he received the Spartacus Award for his efforts, only the second club member since 1992 to earn the distinction. Prior to that he served as Secretary of the club in 2021-22 and was responsible for a revamped organizational system that increased MSUMCV’s popularity on campus and competitive status.
Urvil is working towards his doctorate of physical therapy at University of Illinois-Chicago and holds a B.S in Kinesiology with a minor in coaching and graduate certificate in Sports Leadership, Coaching and Administration from Michigan State.

Jeremy is one of our vice presidents and is our director of player personnel and sponsorship. Jeremy brings unparalleled playing experience while anchoring Tempo’s defensive philosophy.
In addition to finishing in the top half of all Open competitors in the 2024 Waupaca Boatride Open (which featured 3,500+ total men’s teams), Jeremy is a mainstay in the Michigan and the Midwest volleyball scene, playing for multiple VLA teams before joining Tempo VBC and can often be found in the winner bracket’s of area grass tournaments.
Jeremy continues the theme of women’s volleyball staffers at Tempo, acting as assistant volleyball coach for Lawrence Technological University starting in 2024. He was also an All-BTMBA selection in 2023.
He holds a B.S in Psychology with a minor in leadership from Michigan State.

Hemant is the newest member of the Tempo Team and is our coordinator of all things media and branding. Hemant’s work behind the camera has been essential to the early success of social media campaigns and will be pivotal to Tempo VBC during competitions and events season.
Hemant is not only savvy behind the camera, but is heavily involved in volleyball communities throughout the Metro Detroit area. A 2024 graduate of Oakland University, Hemant spent the 2024 season as a volunteer assistant for the NCAA DI women’s program and was involved in helping them with day-to-day operations. In addition to his work with the Golden Grizzlies volleyball team, Hemant started the men’s volleyball club at Oakland University and was responsible for their startup, entrance into the MIVA club conference and social media upkeep during their formative years.
Hemant holds a B.S in Mechanical Engineering from Oakland University.
